Corporate Planner/ Strategist X 1 (one) position

Overview:

Department : Corporate Services

The Corporate Planner/Strategist role is a strategic one which provides support to the Executive Committee, The Board and Board Committees as follows:

  • Development, production and dissemination of the Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan, Quarterly Reports and related strategic memoranda, policies or procedures;
  • Co-ordinating the hosting of strategic interventions that underpin the production of the Strategic Plan as well as the Annual Performance Plan;
  • Co-ordinating performance monitoring and reporting against the defined strategic framework and annual plan;
  • Responsible for Enterprise Risk Management, including the co-ordination of risk workshops at organisational as well as project level; the establishment and maintenance of a risk register and the general monitoring of and reporting on performance in regards to risk management; and
  • The management of physical contract documentation, either procurement or project related, including the securing of such contracts in a secure location

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Law or Science related field.
  • A Master’s degree in business administration/leadership/governance would be an advantage

Required minimum work experience:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in strategy development, governance, compliance and risk.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the public sector, responsible for governance, risk and compliance.A Master’s degree in business administration/leadership/governance would be an advantage
