As we reflect on another productive quarter, I am proud to acknowledge the remarkable progress SANEDI continues
to make in advancing South Africa’s energy transition and strengthening our contribution to the continent’s
sustainable energy future.

This reporting period has demonstrated that our organisation is not only responding to the
evolving energy landscape but is actively shaping it through innovation, strategic partnerships, sound governance,
and unwavering commitment to excellence.

The pace of transformation within the energy sector demands institutions that are agile, forward-looking, and
committed to delivering measurable impact. I am encouraged by SANEDI’s continued ability to position itself as a
trusted strategic partner to the Department of Electricity and Energy (DEE), government, industry, academia, and
international stakeholders. Our participation in key national, continental and global platforms has reaffirmed our
growing role as a centre of excellence in energy research, planning, innovation, and implementation support.
